FAQ
Q. How do I submit content?
A. The easiest and most effective way to submit content to me is through the MotoLady Submit page. At the top of the submit box there is a drop down for photo, link, text, and video submission.
Q. What is “The Monster Project”?
A. The Monster Project is a custom bike I’ve been piecing together (with much help from friends and experts). I received the bike from MotoCorsa in a sad and dejected state of disrepair. It had been downed twice- once into a ditch and the other time into the grill of a car. It had no front brakes, the rear brake lever was smooshed, tank was dented to hell, scraped up all over, had been stored with fluids and hadn’t been started in over a year. Arun Sharma handed me the keys (so to speak, it actually didn’t have keys when I got it) and told me “it needs some love”. And love it I would. Big plans were made, the process was started, and I’m giving you all step-by-step updates.
Q. Why did you create MotoLady?
A. I made this site as an attempt to erase (or at least fade) the bad reputation the motorcycling has racked up over the years. All too often you see skulls and crossbones on riders or their bikes… some people ride because they simply enjoy riding on two wheels, not because they feel powerful by living “close to the edge”. Just because you ride a motorcycle does not mean you have a death wish or want to terrorize the tarmac. There is a style of riding suitable for each and every person who has interest.
Q. I represent a company that wants to send you stuff to wear/test/review… where do I send it?
A. I usually have people send stuff to my work address. Hit the “contact” button on the left side bar to write me an email, I’ll let you know where is best. And hey, thanks in advance!
Q. I want to sponsor MotoLady. Do you do that?
A. MotoLady is in the process of collecting sponsors from brands, websites, and individuals I support to display their branding and website link(s) on the right side of my website. If you’re interested, you can contact me by using the link to the left in the side bar.
Q. What brand are those cool boots? And where did you get them?
A. I have multiple pairs of riding boots, some with protective qualities and others vintage gear. Puma Desmo, New Rock Reactor, Icon Reign (personal favorites), Icon Sacred, and OOAK motocross boots. For more information on my one of a kind vintage MX boots, see this post about the sweet ebay find.
Q. I’m a new rider and about to buy my first bike. What should I buy?
A. First thing you need to ask yourself is: What primary function do I want my motorcycle to serve? Are you going to use it for…
- Commuting?
- Off roading?
- Adventure riding?
- Traveling across many countries?
- Cruisin’?
- Lookin’ cool?
- Speedin’ like a maniac?
Dependent upon what you answered, I can point you in the direction of some of my favorite bikes.
