A couple people asked about where the image I posted last night of the burning motorcyclist came from. I did some digging and found that it is actually a photo from Riots in Greece on Feb. 23rd, 2011. The motorcyclist on fire in the photo is an officer trying to escape from the crowd throwing fire bombs at him.

MotoLady Giveaway Winners
I got quite a few responses for the MotoLady t-shirt end of year/Christmas giveaway. They were all great, and a few really stood out to me for different reasons. I was only going to give away one shirt, but I couldn’t narrow it down so I’ve decided to award three instead. The winning answers are below with the other (still very excellent) answers following.

He was a photographer himself and his most recent interest were women motorcyclists. He has a special interest in the older B/W photos. He mentioned he had been in contact with you, submitting his own photos. My dad recently passed away and seeing your Moto Lady FB postings reminds me of him and his interests and hobbies. Thank you. He would probably share several photos a week with me and his friends. He was also had a unique sense of humor and wrote short stories and poems. So when he shared your photos, he would always include some humor into it, as to what the person may have been saying, thinking, or where she have may been going. He enjoyed making other people happy through comedy.
Two moto ladies appear at the Delhi-Leh rally in India. Irina Walker, 49, flew in from San Francisco for the Himalayan Odyssey 2011. Ila Johri, 25, is a financial analyst based in Chennai.
Rally participants are expected to ride hilly terrain of Ladakh region in Jammu and Kashmir. Beginning from Delhi the route map of the rally passes through Chandigarh, Manali, Key Long, Jispa Camp, Sarchu, Pang Camp, Upshi, Leh and finally to Khardung La, the highest motorable pass in the Ladakh region.
June 13th Track Day
MotoCorsa (my work) does track days all [oregon] riding season long. Monday was an amazingly gorgeous day, and we had a special guest in town… Hannah Johnson from Ducati Miami! I had to go down and hang out with her and the MC crew at Portland International Raceway.
Above, Jarrod Weis (service tech at MotoCorsa) does some maintenance on his bike before hitting the track in A group. More photos and crap behind the cut. Chicks, bikes, track… what more could you ask for? Besides a&t, ‘cause that ain’t how I roll.

As of the end of February 2011, only 39 Ducati technicians have been granted Master Tech status after completing DNA’s Level 3 training program.
Because ladies were born to ride. And motorcycles were made for riding.
