Sofi Tsingos’ GT Cafe for Cause Unveil

This weekend in Dallas, TX, the awe-inspiring Sofi Tsingos unveiled the cafe racer build that she’s raffling off for charity at the Gas Monkey Bar n Grill.  Sofi started GT Cafe for Cause to build a bike with her dad who was diagnosed with cancer- her plan is to give all proceeds to cancer research. Yuriko rides a sparkly pink and purple 1976 Shovelhead chopper… she’s a petite little lady… probably 5’ even. She’s perfected kicking it over with the whole weight of her body. Size isn’t everything. I frequently hear ladies saying, “I’m too short for that bike” and Yuri proves that it’s a matter of determination. Her bike is very custom, making it fit her much better than a lot of stock bikes would. However these bikes are still quite heavy… it’s all about bike control. Practice makes perfect! Corinna Mantlo on her 1971 BSA Victor 250cc that she’ll be racing on behalf of the Miss-Fires with team Hell Bound and Down (site) at the Norra vintage Baja 500 this October in Mexico!  Corinna does awesome motorcycle seat upholstery and also helps run Via Meccanica in Brooklyn, New York. Vintage motocross/trials girl, Debbie Evans, looking stoked as all hell on her Ossa motorbike, wearing what look like Hondaline boots (but could be Hi-Points or any number of other brands).  Debbie is an AMA Motorcycle Museum Hall of Famer, having been the first woman to compete in FIM World Championship Trials event, she’s also appeared in over 200 movies as the stunt rider.   [ more off road | source ]
