Corinna Mantlo on her 1971 BSA Victor 250cc that she’ll be racing on behalf of the Miss-Fires with team Hell Bound and Down (site) at the Norra vintage Baja 500 this October in Mexico!  Corinna does awesome motorcycle seat upholstery and also helps run Via Meccanica in Brooklyn, New York. Montgomery Motorcycles, San Clemente

Today I went up to San Onofre and San Clemente to visit my friend Justin who runs the Peanut Butter Coast blog. He’s down from Seattle with his friend Chris on a surfing adventure road trip dubbed ‘The Peelgrimage’. After food, he showed me a cool motorcycle shop he had stumbled upon, Montomery Motorcycles.  San Clemente, with a small population of some 60k people, caught me off guard with the super cool vintage motorcycle shop. A collection of 1953 motorcycle messengers (many women included).  A photo of 1953 messengers at Hockley Post Office. Note that they had five B.S.A. 250cc C10 models with JLE registrations ranging from 181-188, maybe not all of their fleet of bikes is on show here. A later 1958 photo shows BSA Bantams which replaced all of these C10 250cc bikes well before 1958.See a photo of Grays G.P.O.in 1954, with myself, Colin, Norman & Charlie with a much smaller fleet of B.S.A. motorcycles than Hockley.
