Troy Corser on a vintage BMW r90s from a post to his twitter account back in July during the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England. “They told me to be careful with this one.” As Ben Bostrom replied, “Classic Troy!”
What, he looks like he’s being very careful! Awesome.

"Who says you can’t surprise your wife with flowers while on two wheels." Terry surprised his lady Sandy- I thought this was a perfect follow up for the post yesterday, 10 Reasons You Should Date A Motorcyclist.

There are a ton of comments I could make on this photograph, but I think I’ll leave it at… This. Is. Awesome.
Regardless of all else you have to admit a motorcycle cop doing a stoppie on his Police Issue BMW motorcycle is pretty fantastic.
Note: The officer performed this demonstration on a closed course, was on his own time, received permission from the agency, and BMW Motorcycles of Ventura County covered the cost of a new rear tire (source).

Colorful Countryside: Riding the Explorers’ Edge

image

A place where traffic moves aside to let you pass, the vibrant colors of fall leaves fill your field of vision, roads are open and inviting… my Northern adventure was full of good times. The best parts? Doing it all on the BMW f650GS, and being in great company.

MotoLady… where the wild things are edition! Haha. Mike Jacobs (What A Ride, Ontario Moto Roads) snapped this pic when the photo/videographers were doing their thing. There will be a short video by Adam Wood from our Ride the Edge weekend adventures as well as some amazing photographs by Virgil Knapp.
Headed home to Portland today!

Headed home to Portland today!

Day 2 of the Canada adventure… Huntsville to Parry Sound via Highway 520 and Bunny Trail. Stopped at the Midlothian Castle and Screaming heads… crazy art and house built by some guy in the middle of nowhere. Having lunch now.

Super short iphone capture of the footage Adam Wood’s camera yesterday- he was shooting video some of today for this trip. He and Mike Jacobs (of Ontario Moto Roads) discuss in the backgroundhow great his video is (well, that’s what they say more or less.) PS. Probably don’t have the volume up on your device when you watch this.

The first half of our adventure today was pretty wet, though we only got actively rained on for maybe 30 minutes which isn’t too bad. Two BMWs out front, followed by two Harleys.

A few photos from my Canada trip so far (left to right, top to bottom)- arrived last night and met up with Rod (posted to FB I’d be in Toronto and this chap joined me) for a drink. Went to the Deeley Canada HD manufacturer warehouse to pick some stuff up for the boys who were riding Harleys.

Drove out to Gravenhurst and met up with the bikes, met my BMW f650GS… more than stoked to be riding it.

Rode HWY 141 and ended in Huntsville.

BMW celebrated it’s 90th anniversary of making motorcycles, releasing this classic sporty beauty called the Concept Ninety. It’s said to have been partially inspired by the 40 year old R90 design, apparent in the tank and orange paint job.

Will other companies start making their own versions of retro motorcycles, modernized and done right similar to the Sport Classic line from Ducati? One can only hope! The Concept Ninety is decked out with Ohlins forks and rear shock, dual disc front brakes with Brembo calipers, and beautiful lines taking note from the oh-so-retro and popular Cafe Racer style. I for one, am excited.
