Michèle Ebeling aka 'Mitch' the Motorcycle Queen sent all these awesome photos of herself to Frank Charriaut of the Mot’Art journal with a mini bio back in 2010. She’s seems to be a very fascinating individual, having appeared in Iron Maiden & Duran Duran music videos plus some.

I`ve been riding bikes since the age of 17… I was a singer in a band called `Look Back in Anger` during the 80`s and also lived with Billy Duffy of The Cult for 5 years.. I sang as their backing vocalist on the `Dreamtime` album.. Rode my Triumph in various pop videos, including Iron Maiden and Duran Duran, and featured with my bikes in several Motorcycle / Women’s mags. Worked for a while as a record plugger and in also in `Johnsons`…

Daniel Ross’ beat up frankenbike named “Electric Alice” outside Pokez Mexican restaurant in San Diego today… Daniel put this thing back together in three days. He found the chassis in a barn- hadn’t been registered in 30 years. After some swapping, it’s probably close to just as dangerous as the day it was first built.

A pair of smokin’ dames on their motorbikes in Britain, 1930s. Photographs of women motorcyclists from this time period always fascinate me; society norms changing quickly through the early 1900s allowed women to exercise and enjoy some new freedoms. Can you imagine wearing a corset on a motorcycle?
Original photo source unknown, though I suspect it’s from historial archives.

All of the parts falling off this bike are of the finest British quality.

Rust Bucket Project: The Bondo Bike

At the Deviants CC compound in Vancouver, WA… I spent a few hours going at the BSA frame with an angle grinder yesterday. My mission was to remove the bondo from the frame so I could see what is really going on with the structure of the hard tail, where I need to cut and start over again.

The welds look pretty old judging by the wear and tear, and Wolf told me they were probably stick welds not something more fine tuned. Whoever built this bike must have fancied themselves a sculpter because they chose to use the bondo crap to shape it instead of metal. Seems silly to me.

Nicolai Sclater, aka OrnamentalConifer (blog), is a British graphic designer gone sign painter.

Back in december I posted photos of hand painted leather jackets by Ornamental Conifer. Then earlier in April I posted the first “Further” video featuring an awesome bike with SUSHI EATER lettering on the side. Observe, that same bike in the secondrow/middle photo above!

Nicolai is a talented designer with a very steady hand. His art helps express the soul of the pieces he is decorating whether it be a helmet, jacket, or motorcycle.

The topmost photo was posted all over the interwebs with no source. I did some hunting and found it came from the Triumpher blog (Japan). A bunch of dapper dudes with damn good looking bikes.

Going through photos from Isle of Vashon and had to post this one immediately. Look at this guy… oozes vintage.
Edit: As per BIll… this is Mick Valentine Vallantine owner of Vallantine Motor Works (BMW shop) in Seattle.

Behold the 1966 Triumph Bonneville custom hard-tail bobber owned and built by Mitch Sander.
I got to meet this really cool cat over the weekend who found this Bonny engine and then built around it. He did it all himself, including dreaming up a GSXR front end swap.
More photos and backstory soon to come. Photograph by yours truly.

This video actually warmed my heart. Sure, it’s a prank… but it ends with warm fuzzies. Another reminder not to judge people merely by what you can see.

So what would you do if you walked into a Theatre filled will stereotypical biker badasses?
