People, this is real- Volkswagen is talking about putting a Ducati 1199 Panigale engine in a car. While a base model fancy hybrid car called the XL1 will hit the Geneva convention, they’re now discussing an XL Sport model equipped with the aforementioned Panigale superquadro engine. It sounds like this car won’t make it to production, but still…
I find this intriguing for countless reasons, especially because Ducati was purchased by Audi/Volkswagen while I was working at the Ducati dealership (MotoCorsa). Many people wondered if VW might try to influece the engineering of bikes but perhaps it’ll be the other way around?

This one is for all the motorhead women out there, two or four wheels. (Thanks to Dave for the submission!)

Cager tries to pass bikers on the dirt shoulder and on the right… doesn’t end well. (Thanks to Stormie for the tip!)

Hatchback power! Stolen from Quentin Wilson-

Pilster and I had a titanic battle of the race-trailer hatchbacks. The Isuzu wins.

I’ve been one-upped. Ren sent me this amazing photo- Honda CB400F in the back of a Honda Civic hatch. Now that’s a motorcycle in a car!
I had to share a similar experience early last Summer. Picked up my first Bike from Seattle, brought it back to Vancouver, BC (Through customs) one sunny afternoon. Bungee cord to keep the hatch shut and used the rear & passenger seatbelts to keep it from shifting. Drained all fluids prior & layed down cardboard/garbage bags. Three people to get it in and two out. -Ren

How to Fit a Motorcycle in a Car

I needed to transport my Monster from my house to SDS Performance in Tigard. The Monster Project has gone on long enough… it’s time to rebuild! Not having it in a shop proved very annoying, constantly taking longer than necessary because of missing tools and such. So… I put my motorcycle in my car. Not just a car, but a coupe! Well, strategically place all the pieces, boxes, wheels, and bits in the right spots. Observe.

The engine was so awkward in the front seat that it crept into my seat too. Read on to see the process.

Yesterday I fit my entire Ducati Monster into my 2001 Honda Accord Coupe. Now, it wasn’t quite as ridiculous as this… but still pretty impressive.
Yes, this really happened. You CAN fit a motorcycle in a car. This Yamaha Virago inside a Geo Metro proves it. Check out the original flickr post.
(This isn’t quite as good as the sportbike in a Honda Civic, either…)

Pretty much every time I’ve driven my car for a long distance something like this happens.
Answer? No mo’ car. Seems logical.

Some serious retro style here, MotoLady on Harley and sexy vintage car in the background. Could someone give me more background on the model of the car and bike?

I feel like this would happen if I saw a nice old car on a huge group ride… We’d all zoom up around it and be like “HELLS YEAH!” because dayyyum, just look at it.
