If you recall correctly, my friend Emma Bass got into an unfortunate motorcycle accident caused by a large truck trying to skate across four lanes of traffic. She was a little bruised and busted but came out okay. Since then, Emma has been outfitting herself with proper motorcycle gear. She wrote me to ask how I felt about my Icon 1000 Federal jacket, and now picked up one of her own.
“Best purchase I’ve ever made besides my first motorcycle. It’s my first legit motorycle jacket and it’s ten times safer than any number of jackets I’ve owned before. Score!”
Well said, Emma. Plus, you look hot!
Someone caught a photo of me riding through a gentle corner at Isle of Vashon! One hand on my camera, naturally. I am a little excited right now… thank you Ken Todd!

The lovely Phil Hawkins caught me when I stopped near the Triumph tent for some photos with the Honda RC-51.

About five months ago I got an email from Thad Jackson, Icon’s Art Director, saying “I need a female to gear up and ride a motorcycle in a lifestyle photoshoot. Nothing fancy or technical, just riding. Interested?” My heart went aflutter and my eyes almost popped out of my head, “BOY AM I!” was the first thing to come to mind. Well, that and “HELL YES!”

Funny story… I got to ride that Duc for about 25 feet before it sputtered and died. After that, it could not be resurrected. We still aren’t sure what happened. Kind of killed most the plans for the shoot. SUCK… haha.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you… the best motorcycle jacket that was ever created. I’m really not trying to exaggerate here- I believe whole heartedly that this is the best jacket ever. Read on to discover why the Icon 1000 Federal Jacket is worth every penny, and then some.

You can wear it for riding, for a night out… it’s classy and bad ass and has all the right features. It’s a freaking transforming jacket!
