What cans are you planning to put on your monster? — Asked by amazerbeam

No specific brand of cans, custom undertail exhaust with beautiful GP welds to be done by Heath Knapp of Heathenwerks.

Only the best for the Monster Project. ;)

Summer is here. PLEASE… ride carefully and wear proper safety gear. Reblog if you love a biker (or your motorcycle).
What prompted me to make this? Well, for one… the version I’ve seen floating around the internet has a typo and it bugs me. But more importantly: THIS IS THE MOST DANGEROUS TIME OF YEAR. I know weather is different around the globe but in the past 2 weeks I’ve had multiple friends get hit by cars.
Heath Knapp (welder/hooligan), a good friend and one of the most integral parts of the Monster Project, was victim of a hit and run in SE Portland recently. The cager left him for dead in the middle of the street, luckily witnesses and caring humans were nearby. He is busted and bruised, but alive and lived to tell the story. Here’s Heath and I dorking out before a ride… I was on his 600RR.

Get well soon Heath, and friends… please ride safe.

THE TIME HAS COME. Monster project update… one of the happiest in a long time! The new steering stop is in place, and it’s adjustable. Mind boggling, I know. Now, my frame is done. T-Minus a few days until powder coat. Then I get to reassemble! Yee-haw!
Welding by Heath Knapp (Heathen Werks) with some logistics help from Will Jones (Poor Bastard Cycle Works)… thank you both for your help.

Monster Project mini update… seat mount bracket rewelded after extra 6” frame chop! I am very fortunate that Heath Knapp, AMAZING welder is helping with this project.

Another Monster Project update. So soon? YES! Tail chop… about 6 inches off the back end.
At this point, all there is left on the frame is the steering stop up front… then I can move on to painting and reassembly.

Monster project progress! YES! Heath Knapp (friend and absolutely amazing welder) just texted me photos of the frame fix. As you may remember from Phase 2 (photos of previous damage within) this area was mushed by roque frame slider. Next in line is the 6 inch chop off the end… and WHAM. Powder coat time.

Last Monster Project update for a while… The frame has been dropped off to be chopped off! Heath looks positively thrilled.

Frame chop marks!

Monster Project: Phase 9

Ladies and Gents, thar she blows. My 1998 Ducati Monster 750 Dark with a Superbike 748 front end on it. The process getting to this point was long, drawn out and annoying. But having adjustable, strong, awesome front shocks is so very worth it.

Take a journey with me through the somewhat painful steps taken to get to this point. There’s gold at the end of the rainbow!
