Nicolai Sclater, aka OrnamentalConifer (blog), is a British graphic designer gone sign painter.

Back in december I posted photos of hand painted leather jackets by Ornamental Conifer. Then earlier in April I posted the first “Further” video featuring an awesome bike with SUSHI EATER lettering on the side. Observe, that same bike in the secondrow/middle photo above!

Nicolai is a talented designer with a very steady hand. His art helps express the soul of the pieces he is decorating whether it be a helmet, jacket, or motorcycle.

I found Moto Lady some time last year while researching for a photo shoot. It made it on to my RSS reader and I always look forward to all the cool stuff you post. I finally got to do my own moto lady shoot and wanted to share it with you since this blog is my primary source for motorcycle imagery inspiration. Credits go to me at twistedlabel.com

Thanks for the awesome submission and super flattering compliments, Will! As for more background on the image- Willard told me it’s his friend Jozi on a custom Yamaha XS 650 in Utah.

If you recall correctly, my friend Emma Bass got into an unfortunate motorcycle accident caused by a large truck trying to skate across four lanes of traffic. She was a little bruised and busted but came out okay. Since then, Emma has been outfitting herself with proper motorcycle gear. She wrote me to ask how I felt about my Icon 1000 Federal jacket, and now picked up one of her own.

“Best purchase I’ve ever made besides my first motorcycle. It’s my first legit motorycle jacket and it’s ten times safer than any number of jackets I’ve owned before. Score!”

Well said, Emma. Plus, you look hot!
