A teaser shot from the new Mad Max: Fury Road movie. The original Mad Max series are some of my all time favorite films and definitely inspire my photography, taste in bikes, gear, and so much else. I cannot wait for this movie to be released… squee!

Why yes, I did see this guy on a raked out Harley blast by me to get on the freeway, and yes I did haul ass to catch up and grab a shot of him. He looked over right as I snapped the pic, gave me a smile and we exchanged hand signals.
Nice meetin’ ya on the road, dude!

Canyon Riding- The Snake and More

Today I rode “The Snake”, passed the Rock Store, and experienced Los Angeles County canyons with Shaik Ridzwan from the Mighty Motor. We met at Neptune’s Net in Malibu since it’s somewhere in the middle of both of us- Santa Monica and Ventura.

The photo above was yoinked from the Mighty Motor instagram

Sitting at a stop light near my house while running errands today I spotted a group of bobbers rolling past heading toward Downtown Ventura. After stopping by the gas station I rolled down Main Street to see if I could spot them and take some photos… lo! There they were!

Not one, not two, but SEVEN custom bobbers all in one spot. A friend of mine told me they had just been up at See See’s in Portland and that they’re road tripping from Mexico City. Gotta love the Powerplant bike, seriously good looking.

Swedish Marines ‘Greased Lightning’ Parody Video

This may be one of the best parody videos I’ve ever seen (and it’s not just because I’m part Swedish). The flare, the sassy hip popping, the military uniforms with synchronized snapping! Oh my!

While only one motorcycle appears in this video, a Zarang ZR cruiser (manufactured in Afghanistan) it’s still right up the alley of MotoLady readers. Because, come on, we all know that synchronized dancing is amazing, and can only get better when you add in heavy artillery, lighting cigarettes with torches, and again… the sass! Something tells me these guys had a little down time in Afghanistan.

Dressed to the Nines

Did a fun little shoot today for a photo project for an Australian friend today. I’ll let what it’s for and whatnot be a surprise, but I wanted to share something not often witnessed… me dressed to the nines.

Rob Escalante lives in Los Angeles and rides on a daily basis. If you’ve ever ridden in LA, you know how insane the drivers and traffic can be. It can be scary dangerous for a motorcyclist, bicyclist, pedestrian, and even other cars. Today he took a moment out of his day to help an elderly woman. The story made me feel all warm and fuzzy, so I had to share.

This old lady was crossing the street, but too old to make it on time, as the light turned green and cars flew by her without caring she was having difficulty getting on the sidewalk as it was way too high. I just didn’t have the heart to be another witness doing nothing….I just had to help.

It only takes a second, be the kind of motorcyclist that makes the world a better place. Take those few moments to do something that will help create positive feelings about folks who ride on two wheels. It might save their life, and it might save yours some day too.

Yet Another Reason We Should All Wear Cameras

A 25 year old Australian, Chris Porter, recorded a collision with an elderly gentleman on a helmet-mounted GoPro camera. The footage ended up saving him an insurance nightmare and thousands of dollars.

Yet another reason we should all wear video cameras like GoPro or Contour whenever we ride. With most of society automatically blaming us even when we’re the victim, we really need that visual evidence to back us up.
