What you can do with some elbow grease and effort is truly amazing. Seeing high dollar builds with every detail planned and perfectly executed is definitely inspiring, each piece a work of art. But I think what I like more are garage built bikes, customized by the owner to their liking instead of a shop or designer. They both have their positives, but this is a great example of what I mean.

Isaiah’s cafe racer build began with a bike you don’t often find in the USA, a 1979 Suzuki GS425e.

It was SO COLD last night (25°F) and yet the Rockers NW crew I know and love so well still managed to get their awesome vintage bikes over to Tonic Lounge for the party. (Youtube video of them rolling in here.)
Glen, exposing himself to motorcycles… flashing his tools. So innappropriate! (At See See Coffee & Motorcycles in Portland Oregon.)
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride got some press! Look at this 3/4 page in Willamette Week.
Lookin’ good, folks.
Over 15 of us Rockers (check out the website) planned to attend VME’s Isle of Man TT, but we all had different schedules and needs for getting up there. Most folks trailered their not-so-reliable vintage bikes while the left over few rode. Here’s video of us trusty six all riding by the truck+trailer on the freeway (we just happened to pass them, how strange…)!
I think I’m pretty obvious… the lady in red.
Rockers NW bring an extra slice of awesome to the VME Isle of Vashon TT event! See me? I’m the one with the ridiculous non-vintage bike.
Justin and I rode up last night after work- arrived in Port Orchard at Noel’s house where we would be staying for the night. (Thanks again, man!) Went out to grab some grub and then passed out, woke up five hours later and headed to the ferry. Met up with these Hooligans and stormed the gates!
More photos (and GoPro video) later… in the mean time you can check out more photos of the Rockers.

Sometimes you really have to love social media. Scrolling through facebook I saw this lovely graphic for the Top Dead Center motorcycle show. Motorcycles? Free beer? DJ? Ehem, yes please!

‘Twas about 7pm when I arrived, beautiful sunset golden hour in downtown Portland. There was a slight line out the door as we waited to write our names down on the free raffle tickets for a Chrome bag.
A couple of my favorite motoladies and I at Tuesday Night Coffee last week- a weekly motorcycle gathering just outside of Portland.
The event began as a small group of people from the PNW Rider forums and has grown so much in the last year! You can often find hundreds of bikes here! Thanks to Brady Schwartz for the photo.

Rockers NW happy hour after Tuesday Night Coffee (a weekly event during summer). Some of my absolute favorite people are in these photos!
Was very proud to be riding with two other motoladies (out of 11… that ain’t bad)!

Photos from the ride yesterday to Sauvie Island and Skyline, 13 bikes… mostly vintage. If my favorite meal were smoke, today would have been perfect… I was eating it behind Alex’s bike up front. As he said, “Hope you guys liked the smell of that bel ray two stroke oil today, my wee 350 used all it’s ponies setting pace!”
I was always hesitant to go on group rides with more than 4 or 5 people because I thought logistics of riding with so many people would be difficult. But it’s amazing how seamless it is. For the most part, everyone interacted flawlessly on the road. If you wanted to pass, you passed. If you wanted someone to fall back, you signaled. It was a great experience, I’ll definitely be doing it again soon.
