I heard tell of being on the salt flats during this rain storm. It came out of no where- and at one end of the raceway you could see the clouds coming for you. Like they were hot on your tail, faster and faster.

My absolute favorite shot from the entire trip… Mark Bjorklund taking off for his return run on the short international track. Green flag in the background and all. He’s on the Sodium Distortion Ducati S4Rs 1000cc A-AG class salt racer by Super Rat from Bellingham, WA. (Click the link for more a closer look at the bike on MotoCorsa’s website.) He knocked out a record that stood since 1975 at 166.3mph (267.6kph).

Jason Omer on his Sodium Distortion partial streamliner at BUB motorcycle speed trials this last week. He was waiting for Mark on the Ducati & Chad in the plane to make a pass for video. Jason set an AMA national 1000cc APS-PG record of 156.8 mph. He beat the old record by more than 6 mph.
