Recently, her wanderlust took her and friends to Death Valley. A vast terrain that is as harsh as it is beautiful. Located in the Mojave Desert in Eastern California, Death Valley is the hottest and driest part of North America. The lowest portion in Badwater Basin is 282 ft (86 m) below sea level, and while it may be a desert, it is not all flat. The highest point in Death Valley is Telescope Peak, which has an elevation of 11,043 feet (3,366 m). Death Valley National Park covers a total of 5,219 square miles (13,518 km²).
