We’re coming up on four years of the MotoLady website, and with the end of 2014 I want to celebrate an extraordinary woman.
Sofi Tsingos is the brains behind GT Moto, works as a fabricator at Misfit Industries in Texas, and can ride like the wind. This year, she and her father built a Honda cafe racer under their new GT Moto Brand. Over the course of a year they documented the process, sold raffle tickets, took the bike to a couple shows, and the day eventually came to draw the ticket of the winner. They raised over $16,000 and donated it straight to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
So, this year, Sofi wins this MotoLady of the Year trophy I made (pinstriping by Wolf Designs, as usual).

It’s not every day you meet a person who possesses all of the qualities and talents that she does, let alone in a lady. She can weld, fabricate, and design, has lots of riding experience on street and track, and is a really quality human overall.
Here’s the 1972 Honda CB450 cafe racer she built for charity, photographed by Brandon LaJoie.

I’m so excited to announce the project that I’ve been working on for two years… a book all about badass motorcycling women! In the MotoLady’s Book of Women Who Ride you’ll meet 74 of the most influencial motorcyclists of the last century. Motorcycle heroes, trailblazers, and record-breakers like Jessi Combs, Shayna Texter, Laia Sanz, Gloria Tramontin-Struck, the Van Buren sisters, and more can be found inside the 184 pages of this hard cover book celebrating motorcycling women!
